South Beach: towards a 21st century mixed-use development
Presentation date: 26. October
Presentation time: 17:45
South Beach Development, Singapore’s biggest mixed-use development built on a 3.5 hectare plot of prime land, was witness to a rare collaboration between two of the world’s most regarded design frontrunners – Foster+Partners and Philippe Stark Studio. A one-of-a-kind mixed-use development completed with high-grade hospitality, corporate and retail spaces, it faced design challenges that involved incorporating four conserved buildings with modern high-rise structures.
Brice will explain how the lighting design managed to measure up to the various challenges of this highly-anticipated iconic project, and how it fulfilled the high expectations for cutting-edge design solutions, while meeting prime targets with regard to design sustainability and complying strictly with Singapore’s lighting masterplan.
