Orientative and intuitive lighting in hospital environments
Presentation date: 27. October
Presentation time: 17:45
Sara Leino began her career in the field of theatre and contemporary dance, where she observed the interactive relationship between light and the actor or dancer on the stage from very early on. The same phenomenon can be found in architectural lighting. Light can be applied to trigger orientation, and if designed intuitively it can give rise to more sensitive communication between light, space and the users of the space. To support her statements, Sara will present her design for the new children’s hospital in Helsinki, and the facade lighting for the central hospital complex in Tampere.
